Putting
the region on the map
At the start of 2006, COREB
was granted regional development funds,
financed by the communes of the Broye’s
Fribourg and Vaud four districts.
These funds are destined to stimulate economic
activities in the region. A financial helping
hand to assist the installation of innovative
projects and companies creating new work
opportunities, it enjoys an annual budget
of over 230,000 CHF. This is augmented by
contributions from the Vaud canton for projects
established within the Vaud territory.
The funds target the regional promotion
of the Broye by granting selective assistance
to facilitate training, organisation, preparation
and realisation of projects that positively
impact the diversity of economic infrastructure.
The funds are intended to encourage the
maintenance and creation of employment in
the Fribourg and Vaud regions of the Broye.
The Regional Development Fund Management
Committee is composed of nine members, who
lay out procedures to follow and adjudicate
on the proposed projects. Their objective
is to support three or four such projects
per year
